Education Policy
We’re working to make anonymised hospital data available for teaching, and not just for future doctors and nurses, but also for students in areas like data science, engineering, and healthcare technology. Right now, most students only have access to limited, outdated public datasets from other countries.
The NHS is rapidly becoming more digital, and the healthcare workforce needs to develop the skills to match. At SAFEHR, we believe education must evolve alongside technology.
By safely sharing access to anonymised UCLH data in secured systems, we can help students learn with richer, more relevant data, which prepares them to solve real healthcare challenges in the NHS, and to familiarise them with the ongoing digitalisation of the NHS.
We are passionate about sharing our policies and best practices with other institutions. Please get in touch at uclh.safehr@nhs.net for more information.
This policy underpins our DAP-E process. Are you interested in using anonymised data for education? Visit here for more information.
