OMOP Anonymisation Process
The SAFEHR OMOP-Extraction System (OMOPES) is a data extraction pipeline that maps data from medical records held by UCLH into the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM). The OMOP CDM is an internationally recognised data format that, when adopted, allows for enhanced data interoperability and drastically reduces the time that researchers spend standardising the data they receive.
The OMOP ES pipeline adheres to the overarching Anonymisation Policy.
Where a researcher chooses to include an OMOP table in a research application, for example the Measurements or Observations table, the SAFEHR team may exclude items that occur within a single table with a frequency below a threshold. This additional step should only be implemented on the instruction of IG.
