Xi Bai is a Health Data Scientist and Product Engineer at the UCL Institute of Health Informatics. His work focuses on the full MLOps lifecycle of NLP solutions for Electronic Health Record applications, spanning model pre-training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and serving. These support tasks such as clinical coding and de-identification, and underpin the CogStack pipeline deployed at UCLH. Prior to joining the BRC, he worked as a software engineer in the media industry and earned a PhD in Applied AI.
